Learning Outcomes

Bachelor of Applied Science in Fashion Technology UNY formulated the programme learning outcomes (PLO) based on government policy, vision and mission of the university and degree programme, and feedback from stakeholders. In general, the PLOs  cover domains: attitude, knowledge, specific skills, generic skills and additional competency which are specified as follows.
ATTITUDE
a. Being devoted to God Almighty and showing a religious attitude;
b. Upholding human values ​​in carrying out duties based on religion, morals and ethics;
c. Internalizing academic values, norms, and ethics;
d. Acting as citizens who are proud and love the country and having nationalism and a sense of responsibility to the state and nation;
e. Respect the diversity of cultures, views, religions and beliefs, as well as the original opinions or findings of others;
f. Contributing to improving the quality of life in society, nation, state, and advancement of civilization based on Pancasila;
g. Work together and have social sensitivity and care for the community and the environment;
h. Obeying the law and discipline in public and state life;
i. Internalizing the spirit of independence, struggle and entrepreneurship;
j. Demonstrating an attitude of responsibility for work in the field of culinary education independently.
KNOWLEDGE
a. Having knowledge of basic theoretical concepts and being able to implement scientific knowledge of fashion, fashion history, fashion design, knowledge of patterns, textiles, sewing technology, and fashion decoration, either manually or using computing devices creatively and innovatively in society.
b. Having knowledge of basic theoretical concepts and to perform basic analysis, fashion needs, design, manufacture and quality testing.
c. Having knowledge of basic theoretical concepts and to communicate fashion product design ideas and fashion products to team work both verbally and in writing.
d. Having knowledge of basic theoretical concepts and basic operational skills of CAD software in fashion pattern making and fashion design software.
SPECIAL SKILLS
a. Able to design creative fashion designs with a view to beauty, decency and comfort.
b. Able to produce fashion products as solutions to the development of fashion trends and the development of local resources.
c. Able to cooperate with various parties from different disciplines in the design process.
d. Able to supervise and evaluate workers who are under their responsibility in the context of planned and unexpected work completion tasks.
e. Have managerial and leadership skills.
f. Able to take advantage of entrepreneurial knowledge, fashion production, business communication in developing a fashion business.
GENERAL SKILLS
a. Able to adjust to the work environment and be able to work together in team work.
b. Able to prepare a written report on the results of work, both under his own responsibility and tteam work regarding analysis, design and production.
c. Able to apply communication techniques effectively.
d. Able to apply social ethics in the field of business and professional practice at work.
e. Able to implement occupational safety and health (OSH) practices in the workplace.
